Taiwan's EVA Airways saw profit dip more than 90 percent in 1998

yet gained a victory by posting a sharp turnaround for the next to the first

of the year. EVA, the island's second-largest air carrier and a
division of Evergreen Marine, earned 754 million novel Taiwan dollars
(US$2.28 million) in 1998 down dramatically from NT$889 million
