The ability of United Airlines (UAL) and US Airways (U) to crank up the constraining force on lawmakers and keep them from interfering with the propos merger between the sum of two units companies came to the surface last week. While the sum of two units airlines were not able to strike down a Senate resolution lambasting the merger they were able to muster eight suffrages out of 20. This was an accomplishment unto itself,
