Higher October Ticket Prices Do Not preserve Pace With Rising Costs
Dec 04 2000 (Airline Financial moderns Vol. 18, No. 48 via COMTEX) -- A report by the Air Transport Association (ATA) released upon Nov. 27 says that airline ticket prices increased in October, with average fares jumping 65 percent coach fares rising 54 percent and first-class fares going up 106 percent compared to the same month a year ago.
Because of capable seasonal differences in airfares, month-to-month comparisons are les useful than comparisons for the same period a year earlier.
